I spent 5 weeks in Cameroon, Africa during my senior year of veterinary school. I was there in Jan – Feb, which is during their dry season. I sought to learn as much as I could about livestock management and the relationship between livestock and public health in a rural village in the northwest region of the country. The pictures below depict the environment and highlight some of what I learned about nutrition in the grazing lands, land management, anti-parasite treatment, and animal husbandry.
